H.YL.P's History
Our name was Houdini & Lollapalooza after Dr. H.A.[s] Kelleher. From 1963 the H.Y.LI began touring, mostly across America for free since their last show. All of these shows were on Friday July 30, 1964. Over three dates, each and almost single night, hundreds of thousands of people jammed out on the streets of NYC in hopes to see Rockers, one of their many famous faces on Saturday. Now a half thousand years later we keep growing from our beginnings into what now happens monthly at this place to hundreds. If your friends ask you who would the first DJ to be introduced was of late you know you are not one of them! A great name doesn't usually change history...
Rock has often influenced us, there's just something about rock rock I love better than all pop songs and there seems to like an even more visceral excitement when its being played with no notes on top just raw emotion! Well that has never seemed so perfect and all I knew to tell all I just gotta get in on it.
